We are currently inviting interested women to participate in meetings and activities throughout

Our Club's Mission is to empower women to be a greater force in improving their lives
and communities. We do this by: Developing women's skills and wisdom. Understanding and blending diverse
people, ideas and traditions to be more effective in solving problems and creating opportunities. Uniting
our strengths in meaningful ways. Reflecting and promoting goodwill, integrity, and justice in our
daily lives. Extending the true spirit of friendship to our sister Soroptimists to inspire each other
to maintain faith and progress in our quests.
Club
History Founded in 1936, SI of Dayton has attracted professional women to its membership through
community-based projects including underwriting and assisting with early Meals on Wheels initiatives and partnering more recently
with various Girl Scout organizations. The club participates in SI's Women's Opportunity Awards program and additional
named grants and awards to young women in the Buckeye state.
Club Award Projects Women's Opportunity Award (WOA) The Soroptimist
WOA is a financial grant to a young woman wishing to advance her education, retrain, or improve her abilities and capacity to maintain her immediate family's life standard. The recipient of this award is head of household
and applies through local clubs. Each local club may award this grant with the recipient's name being
advanced for further consideration at the district, region and international level of Soroptimist.Additional financial
grants are available at each level with the ultimate grant being $10,000. Applications

Violet Richardson Award This award is made by participating clubs in the name of Soroptimist International's founder
